Get involved in workplace campaigns to benefit sportsmen (10/18/2002) Federal and state employees and individuals working for major
corporations are reminded to do their part to ensure a healthy future
for wildlife conservation by teaming with the U.S. Sportsmen’s
Alliance Foundation (formerly the Wildlife Conservation Fund of America
- WCFA) through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), State Employee
Campaigns and corporate workplace campaigns. The CFC is an authorized fundraising program for federal
employees who wish to donate to select, non-profit organizations through
their workplaces. The campaign enrollment period runs through
Thanksgiving. Federal employees may donate to the Foundation by designating
Number 2382 on the CFC forms available from their payroll officers.
This campaign provides critical funding for the Foundation’s
education, issue research and legal defense programs. Important: Due to timing of the campaign, the U.S.
Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation will be listed under its old name, the
Wildlife Conservation Fund of America, for a final year. The U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation (Wildlife
Conservation Fund of America) is also officially included in most state
employee campaigns and a number of corporate payroll deduction
campaigns. If your payroll
campaign does not list the WCFA, you have the right to designate your
gift. Simply request a designation slip from your employer. Funds acquired through workplace campaigns go to fund U.S.
Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation programs.
Here is a sampling: Trailblazer Adventure Program – designed to attract youth and their families to outdoor sports; Sportsmen’s Legal Defense Fund – defending your rights to hunt, fish and trap in the courts; State Fish and Wildlife Agency Revenue Study – a report that shows the vital role sportsmen play in the funding of wildlife conservation; Protect What’s Right for Tomorrow Program – a general, nationwide education effort. For more information about these programs, contact the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation at 614-888-4868. CopyrightÓ U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance- www.ussportsmen.org
